Chrissy Teigen has been seen for the first time since breaking her silence over the devastating loss of her baby son.
The 34-year-old model went into premature labour earlier this month at just 20 weeks, and tragically her little boy died a few minutes after birth.
She and John Legend captured their utter agony in a series of heartbreaking pictures showing them sobbing while cradling their tiny baby, who they named Jack.
While the couple were spotted outside yesterday for the first time since their tragedy, Chrissy had stayed away from social media since the initial announcement to take time to heal.
But she returned to Instagram last night to update fans on her wellbeing.
“We are quiet but we are okay. Love you all so much,” she wrote.
Earlier in the day, she joined John and an assistant to go shopping in LA’s upmarket Melrose Place, having already stocked up on Halloween goodies for their other children, Luna and Miles.
The downcast pair carried bags of shopping as they walked down the street bathed in the warm autumnal sunshine.
A makeup-free Chrissy wore a mask covering most of her face, and kept her eyes fixed on the middle distance as she ran her errands.
She wore a beige patterned shirt dress paired with matching slouchy heeled boots, accessorising with a fringed cross-body bag for the casual outing.
Husband John opted for a tie-dyed T-shirt emblazoned with the words ‘Bigger Love’, a pair of ripped jeans and some white high-top designer sneakers for the afternoon out.
The couple stopped for a quick pick-me-up in the form of an iced coffee, which they sipped through straws while making the most of the sunshine.
It came after John dedicated his Bullboard Music Awards performance on Wednesday night, telling the audience “This is for Chrissy” before playing his tear-jerking song Never Break.
Afterwards he posted an emotional tribute to his wife on Twitter, telling her they would always stay together no matter what life throws at them.
“This is for Chrissy. I love and cherish you and our family so much. We’ve experienced the highest highs and lowest lows together. Watching you carry our children has been so moving and humbling,” he told her on the social media platform.
“I’m in awe of the strength you’ve shown through the most challenging moments. What an awesome gift it is to be able to bring life into the world. We’ve experienced the miracle, the power and joy of this gift, and now we’ve deeply felt its inherent fragility.
“I wrote this song because I have faith that as long as we walk this earth, we will hold each other’s hands through every tear, through every up and down, through every test,” he went on.
‘We promised each other this on our wedding day seven years ago, and every challenge we’ve faced has made that promise more powerful, more resilient. Our love will remain. We will never break.”
