Jeff Brazier has joked that his wife won’t ‘kiss him for weeks’ after unveiled his Movember moustache.
The 41-year-old television personality has thrown his support behind Movember month in a bid to raise awareness for men’s health issues.
However, the dad of two has admitted that his wife Kate Dwyer was not much of a fan of his striking new facial hair.
Sharing a snap of his new moustache with his 147,000 Instagram followers, Jeff joked that he wasn’t going to get a kiss from Kate for the next few weeks.
While being a detriment to his marriage, Jeff pointed out that it was for a more important purpose.
“Doing @movember this month,” Jeff explained to his followers.
“The wife won’t kiss me for weeks but there’s a higher purpose here.
“The rate of male suicide is alarmingly high: 3 out of 4 suicides in the UK are by men,” the television star continued.
He then urged his fans to contribute in an attempt to raise money for the worthy cause.
Jeff has been widely praised by his followers for taking part in this month’s Movember movement.
“I think that now is even more complicated and difficult for people/men with mental health – (ps agreed with your wife on tash kisses )” wrote one fan.
“Roll neck season – great cause mate!” added another follower.
A third wrote on Twitter : “Great campaign Jeff. You’d make a brilliant 1970s tv detective BTW. Good luck mate.”
Jeff’s latest campaign came shortly after he revealed that he has been having therapy for over two and a half years to help with issues from his childhood.
The television star, who was put into foster care as a child, attempted to work on his trauma by seeking psychotherapy.
Speaking on Dave Berry’s Dadpod podcast, the presenter admitted that the process had been life changing.
“The last two and a half years have been absolutely vital for me becoming the best version of myself, if you like, the version of myself that I may have been if the circumstances were different when I was younger,” he explained.
