The presenters were heard praising him for his efforts for the charity and also for his tireless efforts throughout the first Covid-19 national lockdown for providing PE lessons to families and encouraging the nation to keep fit.
It was then revealed by Blue Peter presenter Lindsey Russell that after a letter by young viewer Nellie, that she would arrive on stage to award him with a much coveted Gold Blue Peter Badge.
The sweet moment saw Joe ask Nellie if she thought he deserved it and, of course, she said yes.
Fans of Joe flocked to social media to praise him for his efforts both for Children In Need and also for his work on his YouTube channel across the pandemic.
“I will need your help on my next walk next year and so will follow you and your exercises with interest. Well done Joe!”
A different Twitter user penned: “Just cried at Joe Wicks being given a gold Blue Peter badge. My emotional response to things is not normal or logical, I think I’m broken #ChildrenInNeed “.
Meanwhile, another fan of Joe’s commented: “Is @thebodycoach not the nicest man in the world? The guy has been exercising for 24 hours; has had about 2 hours sleep; must ache all over and yet, is on TV being smiley, charming and gracious. God bless you, Joe Wicks!
