Kate Garraway has praised her Good Morning Britain co-star Ranvir Singh’s graceful moves on Strictly Come Dancing.
GMB’s political editor Ranvir, 43, made her debut on the BBC dancing competition last week and stepped out for her first live dance with partner Giovanni Pernice on Saturday.
Ranvir wowed the crowd with her Paso Doble dance to End of Time by Beyoncé, impressing her fellow colleague.
Kate was so pleased that she took to her Instagram to share a sweet post to praise her close pal.
She wrote: “OMG – she was amazing !!! @bbcstrictly @ranvirtv.”
In the snap, taken from her TV at home, Kate took a photo of her friend in her dazzling red outfit after finishing her dance with pro Giovanni.
In response, fans of the two GMB ladies commented on the snap.
One wrote: “Did you expect anything less Kate. Smile. She was great. Hope you are all ok.”
Another added: “You were brilliant Ranvir. Be proud of yourself honeyxxx.”
“She is my fave! She looks phenomenonal!!!” a third added.
Ranvir has been through heartbreak recently after she secretly split from her husband Ranjeet Singh Dehal.
The couple married in 2012 but are believed to have split up some time ago with the ITV presenter keeping her personal life out of the limelight.
She revealed she was single when it was announced she would be appearing on the 2020 series of Strictly.
Ranvir seemed to suggest that she had found something incriminating on her husband’s phone when discussing whether you should check your partner’s device with her co-host Ben Shephard.
She admitted she had looked at her husband’s phone “once” before Ben asked if that’s why they were no longer together.
The journalist said: “I can’t answer that question but I have always thought that if you ever feel you need to do that then the relationship is over because you obviously don’t trust that person.”
Ranvir has always refused to discuss the reasons behind the marriage breakdown for the sake of her young son.
She told Woman and Home : “I keep my private life private, mainly to protect Tushaan.”
The devoted mum and her little boy have an extremely close relationship, she says because it’s just the two of them at home.
