Dawn Ward has opened up about her tough battle with coronavirus.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star, 47, recently fell ill with the deadly bug while abroad with her family.
In a new episode of the hit ITVBe show, Dawn details the struggle she faced a burning fever for five days.
Dawn’s pal and co-star Seema Malhotra was seen pulling up to her mansion with some supplies she dropped off with her husband.
She told viewers: “Dawn’s been away on holiday and she has come back with some serious news; she’s got coronavirus.”
She went on to call Dawn on FaceTime as she quizzed her on how she’s feeling.
“I’ve had better days,” said Dawn, laying in bed.
Seema was then curious to find out who else contracted the bug in Dawn’s family, to which the interior designer revealed that both her sons Aston, nine and Charlie, 10 had it, including her husband Ashley.
Opening up about her battle with the virus, Dawn revealed: “Starts of with a headache, then I had a temperature for four or five days.”
She added: “And then Aston has got a really bad cough and a tight chest.”
It comes as Dawn’s close pal Gemma Gollins opened up about how scary it was to find out that Dawn tested positive.
She told The Sun: “A very good friend of mine Dawn Ward had coronavirus really badly, which was shocking. I think until it actually happens to someone you know, you think: ‘Oh this is weird. Is this really happening?'”
The GC went on: “I started watching the film Contagion and then I started looking at crazy conspiracy theories but when Dawn Ward got it, I knew that it really existed and how serious it really can be.”
“Unfortunately, the whole of the family got it and when I last spoke to Dawn, she was still terribly, terribly, terribly unwell.”
Gem added: “It was really kind of scary and I was like: ‘Gosh, this is real, this is happening’.”
Dawn was unable to star in Gem’s reality series Diva Forever because of her COVID-19 battle.
