Robbie Williams conceals thinning locks with powder after failed hair transplant

Robbie Williams is so concerned about his thinning hair that he has turned to powder to fill in the sparse patches on his head.

The Take That star, 46, revealed his hair care routine during an appearance on Clarke Carlisle’s the Old Before I Die podcast.

The singer got candid about his locks during a chat with Clarke and his wife and admitted that he is “going thin on top” despite having a hair transplant in 2013.

Robbie said: “Let me talk you through where I stand with my hair right now.

“Man is going thin on the top. Look at that.’’

Robbie, who appeared on video for the chat, then moved his head to show his diminishing mop.

Clarke, 41, said: “Oh mate, your wing-backs are pushing on.’’

Robbie agreed as he replied: “They really are. They are pushing on but they’ve left big gaps at the back.

“So I think I am going to have a thatch. I think I’m going to thatch it.’’

Clarke’s wife Carrie tried to be kind as she told Robbie that his hair line was not too bad but Robbie was not having any of it.

The Angels hitmaker said: “If you had a friend whose hair was deserting them like mine is, you’d have to let them know.’’

He then revealed that he is planning to fill the gaps in his hairline with special hair filling powder.

Robbie explained: “I’m going thin on top so I’ve bought some hair! There’s hair in here.

He said he is turning to hair powder

“I don’t even know if its going to be the right colour. It’s powder but it’s going to be hair.”

In 2013 Robbie told TV host Graham Norton about having his thatch enhanced.

Robbie opened up about his experiences of living in Los Angeles – saying he turned to plastic surgery when he didn’t even need it, because he had nothing better to do.

He said: “I’ve lived in LA for a long time and they say, ‘If you sit in a barber’s shop for long enough you will get a hair cut.’

“Well, if you live in Los Angeles for long enough you’re going to get some surgery.

“I’ve had a thatch done and I didn’t even need it. That’s the weirdest thing.”
