Shreya Dhanwanthary is an Indian model and actress. She is also an author and director and has featured in many Indian web TV Series, miniseries, and movies.
Born in 1991, Shreya is 29 years old as of 2020. She was born in a Telugu-speaking, upper-middle-class family in Hyderabad. Shreya was raised in several cities including a few in West Asia.
Her father was a bureaucrat and that meant that staying put at a place was not possible for her family. Shreya completed her schooling in numerous schools in West Asia and Delhi.
Been an actress was not the first goal that she set for herself. Instead, she bagged a seat in NIT Warangal and went to study engineering there. It was only during her college days that she found her true calling and decided to pursue modeling.
She has also appeared in numerous television commercials and authored a book called ‘Fade to White’. She has also authored and directed some of the web series that she has played a lead role in.

Shreya comes from a Telugu family based in Hyderabad. Her father is a bureaucrat and her mother is a housewife.

Shreya contested in the Femina Miss India South 2008 Pageant while she was still an engineering undergraduate. She ended up being the first runner-up at the pageant. Later, in the same year, she went on to contest in the Femina Miss India pageant and was amongst the finalists.
Her success at the pageant got her noticed and she was offered a role in the Telugu movie Josh. She also appeared in an array of television and brand commercial advertisements where she was seen endorsing some top labels like Vogue, Pantaloons, D’damas and Liberty. Several other brands like Airtel and Safi also engaged her to endorse their products. She made her Bollywood debut opposite Emraan Hashmi with Why Cheat India (2019), which didn’t do well at the Box-Office. But then she landed the role of Zoya in Amazon Prime’s original series The Family Man and it proved to be a game-changer.

Shreya found herself in a bit of a controversy when allegations of sexual harassment were leveled against Soumik Sen who happened to be the director of her Bollywood debut Why Cheat India. Shreya responded to it saying she was shocked and that she supported the victims.
