Taylor Swift and Megan Thee Stallion lead nominations for the Grammys this year


The Grammy Nominations for 2021 are in and Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion are leading the way.

The complete list of nominees of all 84 categories have now been announced.

Nominees for Album Of The Year are Folklore by Taylor, Future Nostalgia by Dua, Chilombo by Jhené Aiko, Black Pumas by Black Pumas, Everyday Life by Coldplay, Djesse Vol. 3 by Jacob Collier, Women In Music Pt. III by Haim, and Hollywood’s Bleeding by Post Malone.

The Best New Artist nominees are Ingrid Andress, Phoebe Bridgers, Chika, Noah Cyrus, D Smoke, Doja Cat and Kaytranada and Megan.

Nominees for Song of the Year are Black Parade by Beyonce, The Box by Roddy Ricch, Cardigan by Taylor, Circles by Post Malone, Don’t Start Now by Dua, Everything I Wanted by Billie Eilish, I Can’t Breathe by H.E.R. and If The World Was Ending by JP Saxe Featuring Julia Michaels.



Taylor Swift’s album Folklore is nominated

The Record of the Year nominees are Black Parade by Beyonce, Colors by Black Pumas, Rockstar by DaBaby Featuring Roddy Ricch, Say So by Doja Cat, Everything I Wanted, Don’t Start Now, Circles and Savage.

The nominations for Best Music Video are Brown Skin Girl by Beyonce, Life Is Good by Future featuring Drake, Adore You by Harry Styles, Lockdown by Anderson Paak and Goliath by Woodkid.

Nominees for the Best Pop Vocal Album are Changes by Justin Bieber, Chromatica by Lady Gaga, Fine Line by Harry Styles, Future Nostalgia by Dua and Folklore by Taylor Swift.



Megan Thee Stallion’s song Savage has been a massive hit this year

The Grammys makes history this year as all of the Best Rock Performance are women.

They are Fiona Apple’s Shameika, Phoebe Bridgers’ Kyoto, Haim’s The Steps, Brittany Howard’s Stay High, Grace Potter’s Daylight and Not by the band Big Thief.

Next year’s ceremony will look very different as the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread across the world.

Recording Academy interim president Harvey Mason Jr. has said that it’s likely the show will still be a live event but with a limited number of attendees.



Dua Lipa is nominated for her album Future Nostalgia

But, unfortunately for those of us who enjoy looking at the red carpet looks more than the nominees, there is unlikely to be a big crowd in attendance.

Mason has said the show would consider adding virtual elements and live performances from different locations.

Last year the big winner was Billie Eilish, who became the first woman ever to win the big four awards.



Beyonce’s song Black Parade is nominated



Lady Gaga’s album Chromatica was hugely popular

Her track Bad Guy won Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year, and she also won Best New Artist.

Billie’s album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? also scooped Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album.
